Other Projects

On this page, I will be showing off projects that do not necessarily belong on one of my other pages.

Custom Converse

When you want Outer Space Converse but can't find them in your size, you just have to make your own.  I painted these with Sharpies and used rubbing alcohol to blend the colors. The stars were made with acrylic paint.

Krampus Sightings

I worked for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016 and was asked to recreate  this costume for use on a static figure on top of the maze.

Body Pods for Dancing Hamsters

In one of my first forays into foam construction, I was hired to make body pods for Kia Dancing Hamsters that were used at car shows and dealerships.  I made 12 total.

Bats Day at the Fun Park 2012

My good friends Jeff and Lindsay commissioned me to make these costumes for them.  I made almost everything they are wearing except his pants, and their shoes and hats. The green in their outfits was hand dyed in a pot on my stove, and the top-stitching on her jacket and corset glows in the dark.  The haunted mansion wallpaper fabric was designed by Lindsay and specially printed just for these outfits.  I made her a matching handbag a few months later.

Fun With Makeup

As part of a class assignment I had a crash course in Zombie Makeup taught by the legendary special effects makeup artist, Rick Baker.  During a visit to his workshop, my class was taught how to use household items to create these effects. My Zombie design was based on the video game "Stubbs the Zombie."  My model was my friend (and good sport) Jeff.  His makeup is made from a combination of gelatin, rice crispies, cotton, and paint.  I made his costume from a 1970s suit I found at Goodwill.  Due to time constraints, I made sleeves in green fabric instead of painting his arms.
